OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Ubuket is a player that allows you to consolidate all your multimedia collections and enjoy them anywhere. During the last few months we have worked hard to provide the best service possible, but unfortunately there are issues around music copyrights that we will not be able to resolve in the short term. With that in mind, we are working on a new version that will be focused on videos and photos, and that will provide a great experience for mobile users. We will keep you posted.

We will be showing our latest release and mobile/desktop versions at TechCrunch 50 DemoPit.

Back to normality

We have been working really hard lately. We have been improving our code, our infrastructure… and seems like everything is working really fine, even better than before. We are also working in the new release. We have 2 more releases ready to come out of the oven. But we will release one after the other. We are really excited and are quite sure you will love them. I will keep you all posted.

Too much traffic

We are having more traffic than expected. We are working to be able to handle it. Hope to be done with all the work in 3 days. Sorry for the possible inconveniences.

In San Francisco

feeds are close

we are working really hard in this new functionallity. We have already seen the first tests at the office and they are wonderful. Hope to release them soon and that you like them. If you like twitter (we will integrate with them) you will like this.

ubuket’s songbird add-on

We have been developing an add-on for songbird. It is the easiest way to upload the files you use to play with songbird into your ubuket account. We love songbird, and we love their community. feeds

I have been playing with FriendFeed lately.  I think these services are the future of sharing and discovering.  There are too many repositories of information and too many user activities … we need help focusing on what might be interesting or entertaining to us.   We are taking feeds to the heart of ubuket.  In our current version sharing hapends when a user sends a playlist to another, or when a user visits someone’s ubuket.  Sound good, but I must admit that that is 2007 type sharing (very old and boring).

We will let you know when we get closer to our “ubuket Feeds” release.  I am sure you will like it.
